Reclaiming His Past by Karen Kirst ~ Review

Reclaiming His Past

Lucie's Review:

When a man who doesn't even know his own name stumbles in Jessica O'Malley's yard, she is hesitant to help him, but her mother insists that they take him in and let him stay until he is fit to leave.

Grant is the name that he chooses when he cannot remember his own, though Jessica finds a Bible with the name Parker in it, he's pretty sure that's his last name. Though he can't remember who he is, his actions show him to be a man of honor and good character.

Will he ever be able to remember and reclaim his past?

A wonderful read, full of life and mystery. I liked how Grant makes up wild stories of his past life in hopes of countering Jessica's suspicions. He is encouraged by his memories of songs and verses, and the support of many new found friends, but he fears what his past holds and what it could mean for his growing relationship with Jessica.

Overall, a well written read, with a good story arc, and realistic characters who grew through a strong friendship. I loved how Grants faced his life with humor and honesty, when he could have easily chosen to be angry or depressed. And finally, Jessica get's her story told! A wonderful story from beginning to end that makes for a great end to a series, yet leaves the door open for more books, just not about the O'Malley sisters. A fantastic read.
